Can I have 4 minutes and 9 seconds...
of your unfocused attention?
As I was contemplating what to share this week, I originally thought I was going to share more about my experiences with this new accountability group I’ve joined and how it’s been deepening my spiritual practice and helping me articulate what’s in my heart.
It’s something I’ve been working on for most of my life. You see, my go-to approach has always been to give you the play-by-play reporting, without any real feeling behind it.
It’s safer that way.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t do jack-shit for helping you connect more to the most important people in your life.
I was nearly done with the draft when I noticed a post by the creator of the community, Erick Godsey. He was encouraging the group to begin sharing their favorite videos of poems, and posted this one below.
I’ve watched it twice already and believe the message could not be more timely.
In some ways, it helped me to remember what it looks like to share generously from your heart instead of your head. And that’s really the message I wanted to share today.
