Stop selling yourself short
I know you are.
How do I know?
Because I’m continuing to catch myself doing the EXACT same thing.
Self-talk is a mother flower.
I’m conscious of this now more than ever, as I push myself outside of my comfort zones on multiple levels.
And to be honest, its only as I sit down to write this letter, that I’m reminded of all the things I’m currently working to improve in my life.
Investing in myself
In the past 3 months I’ve hired 2 coaches. One to help me grow a paid community that supports creators with their podcast and one to help me put the processes in place to scale my podcast agency.
Not cheap for sure. But there is nothing like seeing that money debited from your account on a regular basis to light a fire under your ass to get the most out of your investments.
I don’t know yet if I can point a finger at exactly what is driving me, but it seems to be an opportunity to grow waaaaay outside of my comfort zone.
I was catching up on a Joe Rogan episode and during the interview, they played this clip from past guest John Danaher. It’s 7 minutes well spent, trust me.
If you’re a regular reader of these letters, then you’ve heard me harp on about this idea of getting 1% better every day, but I love the way he lays this out here. I watched it multiple times and re-wrote the key points in my journal.
When he spoke about the vast majority of our days being unexceptional, that struck a particular chord with me.
Maybe it’s because I’m on my 53rd trip around the sun, I have this strong desire to do more. To be more.
It’s likely why I continue to push myself to my limits in multiple areas in my life.
Evaluating how I respond day-to-day in my interactions with my partner Natalie. Are there ways I can show up better?
How do I scale my 8-year year old agency and grow it in a way where I'm 2-3x’ing my revenue while spending half as much time on the day-to-day?
What else can I do to up-level my health and wellness?
How do I find and nurture a circle of like-minded men locally that are committed to being a well-rounded man for the people in their life that depend on them?
How do I nurture and grow my small cohort of independent podcasters and grow the community in a way that helps all of us to succeed?
How do I plan a new 2024 Vision and Mission for my life and business that ensures I’m living the best life possible?
Mind you, these are just a few of the questions rattling around in my head.
I don’t have answers for all of these just yet, but I know I’m on the right path.
I encourage you to push yourself out of your comfort zone on a daily basis. You will be pleasantly surprised, I promise you.
🙏 Harry
